More than 2 lakh 39 thousand devotees visited the Dham, which is a new record for the visitors in such a short time. At the same time, the income of people associated with business from Kedar Ghati to Kedarnath also got a boost.

The doors of Kedarnath were opened on May 17 amidst subtle activities. Due to non-operation of the yatra due to corona infection, there was silence in the Dham for four months. In Kedarnath, there were only 10 to 12 employees of the chief priest Bagesh Ling and Devasthanam Board. The operation of Chardham Yatra started on 18th September. After this, the glory returned to Kedarnath.

Amidst the compulsion of e-pass, devotees had to face a lot of difficulties for the first fortnight, but livelihood from Kedar Ghati to Kedarnath also got a boost. After the end of the e-pass obligation on October 5, there was a rush of faith, which played an important role in speeding up the business.

Due to the arrival of devotees, from hotels, dhabas, taxi-maxi, tea-water shops to other businessmen earned income. If you look at the figures, in 13 days from 18 to 30 September, where only 9025 devotees had reached Kedarnath. At the same time, a record 2 lakh 14 thousand 591 Shiva devotees visited Kedarnath from October 1 to 31.

At the same time, 6084 devotees visited from 1 to 6 November. In the month of October in the journey of 50 days, an average of 5 to 8 thousand pilgrims reached the Dham daily. Due to this the wheel of business from Rudraprayag, Tilwara, Agastyamuni, Guptkashi, Ukhimath, Phata, Sonprayag to Kedarnath also started rotating rapidly.

Shrikedar Hotel Association President Prem Goswami, Vice President Pramod Nautiyal, Secretary Nitin Jamloki said that since last year economic activities were limited due to corona infection. The journey worked to bring the business back on track, which has boosted the income of every businessman.

In the Kedarnath Yatra, in 36 days, helicopters of 6 heli companies earned huge money. From October 1 to November 5, heli companies took more than 28 thousand pilgrims to Kedarnath from Guptkashi, Badasu, Phata, Shersi and Sonprayag. Also brought back more than 22 thousand. Heli companies earned around 40 crores.
