HyderabadTelangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao has made a big announcement for the families of the farmers killed in the midst of the farmers’ agitation. Telangana CM KCR has announced that a compensation of Rs 3 lakh is going to be given to the family of each farmer killed during the farmers’ protests. He has also requested the Central Government to provide assistance of Rs.25 lakh each to all such victim families without any condition. Chandrashekhar Rao’s son KTR has tweeted informing about this decision.
He has said that the Telangana Government has decided to help the families of more than 750 farmers who lost their lives fighting against agricultural laws. Minister KTR in Telangana Government has said that the Central Government should also withdraw the cases filed against all the farmers without any condition.
Before which BJP MP has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi on this issue. He has demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore each for the families of the farmers killed in the farmers’ agitation. The Punjab Government has already announced various types of assistance for the affected farmer families. After the announcement of KCR, this demand may gain more momentum. Farmer leaders are also demanding for the help of such families. The issue of compensation to the families of farmers killed in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh is likely to flare up further in view of the upcoming assembly elections. The United Kisan Morcha has already demanded the withdrawal of all the cases against the farmers.
